American Evaluators Association (AEA)

San Francisco Bay Area Evaluators (SFBAE)

Mechanisms.org is sponsored in part by the San Francisco Bay Area Evaluators (http://www.sfbae.org), which is an affiliate of AEA.  Its mission is "to advance the state of the art of program evaluation through professional development and networking, both locally and nationally."  SFBAE is based in the Bay Area and organizes events both locally and in connection with national conferences.  Membership is open to anyone with an interest in program evaluation. 

Claremont Graduate University (CGU)

The School of Bahavioral and Organizational Sciences at Claremont Graduate University offers several types of M.A. and Ph D. degrees in evaluation, as well as certificate programs and professional development workshops.  To learn more about the programs CGU has to offer and for application information, go to the Evaluation and Applied Research Methods webpage. 

Eastern Evaluation Research Society (EERS)

The Eastern Evaluation Research Society is an affiliate of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), serving evaluators in the Tri-state Area.  Members are from public and private evaluation organizations, academia, and independent consultants.  The mission of the organization is to promote the profession of evaluation through information sharing, educational activities, conferences, and networking.  To learn more, visit their website at: (http://www.eers.org)

Theory-Based Evaluation Listserv

The purpose of this list, is to provide a forum where practitioners and scholars can exchange and share ideas, lessons and methods associated with theory-based evaluation.  Hence, this discussion list is dedicated to the evaluation of Institutional arrangements (Policy, program, project, organization & governance structure, etc.) USING theory-based approach.  A special attention is dedicated to the use of social sciences theories adapted into evaluative work.  This list is inclusive, rather than exclusive.  To join this list, please click the following link.  Theory-Based Evaluation listserv
